Since its foundation, the Pietà de’ Turchini has created and produced a great quantity of original concerts and live performances, based on both recovered early music scores either never performed before or not having been played for centuries, or through the commissioning of newly composed ones. Pietà de’ Turchini’s scope has encompassed a wide array of musical styles and époques: from the medieval to the Renaissance repertoire, from the sacred and profane baroque to the more traditional one, from jazz to contemporary, all with the involvement of artistic personalities of various generations and different degree of notoriety. Some of these have been recorded on DVDs or CDs, and will forever be fixed in our memory.
