Salvatore Murru

Salvatore Murru studied piano with Maestro Ida Nota, graduating from the “D. Cimarosa” Conservatory in Avellino. He later studied composition with Maestro Tomei and completed his diploma at the “S. Pietro a Majella” Conservatory in Naples with top marks. He works both as a composer and as a teacher.

As an educator, he teaches at the 48th State Primary School Madre Claudia Russo in Barra/Ponticelli, where for several years he has directed a children’s choir that has taken part in numerous events and competitions. He currently leads the choir Voci del ’48, founded on the initiative of the 48th State Primary School, as well as the San Rocco Children’s Choir, created through the project Liberi di Cantare promoted by the Pietà de’ Turchini Foundation. Together, the choirs he conducts bring together more than 50 children.
